Simultaneous Interpretation

Simultaneous interpretation is when the interpreter listens to the speaker and interprets the content almost simultaneously. We will provide at least 2 people for this task. Without any interruption in between, speaker’s original voice will be heard, while it is translated. With simultaneous interpretation, it is necessary to arrange equipment. The advantage of simultaneous interpretation is that it saves time, by allowing the speaker and the interpreter to speak at almost the same time. We recommend simultaneous interpretation during a large international conference, general meetings for shareholders, training seminars for large number of people, lectures, panel discussions, symposia, IR conference, medical conferences, etc. Some conference facilities also provide simultaneous translation booth.

Whispering

Whispering is a style of interpretation in which the interpreter whispers the content of the original speaker. This is to prevent any distraction, or to create a more private setting. Mainly performed when there are only one or two people who require an interpreter. The interpreter translates the content, almost simultaneously with or without whispering next to or behind the listener. This is similar to simultaneous interpretation, but there is no need to arrange a booth. If the size of the venue or the number of interpreters is 3 or more, simplified simultaneous interpretation equipment is required.

Consecutive Interpretation

Successive interpretation is performed through the alteration between the speaker and the interpreter. (There is a pause in between each statement). There is no need for special equipment, and this can be performed by a single interpreter, which does reduce the cost. (Compared to simultaneous interpretation). But this may take more time. This form of interpretation is appropriate in a situation in which it is not time sensitive, such as various business talks, in-house training, factory inspections, lunch/dinner reception meetings, etc. The main feature of sequential interpretation is that it can reduce cost, but it takes more time.
